The conical bag is a four panel design that is shaped at the base at varying angles depending on the product going into the bag. It is designed to assist with the discharge process, providing a tunnel like base.

There are some negatives with using conical bags, mainly they are difficult to keep square on a pallet. To counter this, four flaps can be added to the sides, which will help form a base, allowing the bag to sit better on a pallet without restricting the conical bottom.

This style of bag is also helpful if the product sticks in the corners of the bag. The ‘shoulders’ are removed to improve flow.
